Mining duty is what usually breaks conveyor components, not the tonnage figure on its own. This guide works through what each component family actually has to survive underground or on a pit floor: idlers against abrasion and impact, pulleys against load and lagging wear, frames against distortion, belt cleaners against sticky material, skirt rubber and impact beds against the loading point, plus pull cords and take-up gear that decide whether the line keeps running. Selection is handled as a checklist against duty rather than against a catalogue: abrasion class, impact energy, dust, wet and sticky carry-back, incline, throughput and the uptime the operation actually needs. A separate section covers supplier evidence, which is where mining buyers lose the most money, because drawings, material certificates, dynamic balancing records, bearing sealing class and packing standards are the difference between a component that lasts a campaign and one that fails in commissioning.
