This PJ Poly V belt range includes 2PJ, 3PJ, 4PJ and 5PJ configurations for compact power transmission systems. The lower rib counts provide narrow belt options for machinery and equipment where installation width is limited, while the fine PJ profile allows flexible running around relatively small pulleys.
The PJ profile uses a reference rib pitch of 2.34 mm, an approximate belt height of 4 mm and a 40° rib angle. Different rib counts and effective lengths can be selected according to pulley width, equipment layout and replacement specifications.

Suitable for compact machinery, household appliances, small fans, pumps, office equipment and other light mechanical drives using a PJ-profile pulley. The rib count, effective length and pulley dimensions should be confirmed together before ordering.
The SINOCONVE 2PJ, 3PJ, 4PJ and 5PJ Poly V belt range provides several narrow rib-count options for compact mechanical power transmission. All four configurations use the same fine-pitch PJ geometry, while the number of working ribs changes according to the required pulley width and drive design.
These smaller rib-count configurations are particularly useful where the transmission system has limited installation width. The relatively thin PJ cross section also allows the belt to bend around smaller pulleys while maintaining multiple parallel contact surfaces with the grooved pulley.

The number before PJ identifies the number of longitudinal ribs. It does not describe product quality or belt length. The correct rib count is determined by the pulley and transmission design.
| 2PJ Very narrow two-rib option for corresponding compact pulley systems. |
3PJ Three working ribs provide additional contact while retaining a narrow belt format. |
4PJ Four-rib configuration for pulley systems requiring a wider PJ contact surface. |
5PJ Five parallel ribs provide the broadest working surface within this product group. |
The PJ profile has a finer rib pitch than larger Poly V profiles such as PK. This allows several working ribs to fit within a relatively narrow belt width and supports flexible movement through compact mechanical layouts.
2PJ through 5PJ belts can be used in light and compact equipment designed for the corresponding PJ profile, belt length and pulley width.
SINOCONVE also supports transmission belts for printing machinery, pumps, compressors, fans and other general drive equipment. See our Industrial Equipment Belt Solutions for more application information.
A designation such as 3PJ only identifies three ribs and the PJ profile. It is not a complete dimensional model because the effective length is still missing.
Complete belt markings normally combine rib count, profile and length. Two 3PJ belts can therefore have the same cross section but fit completely different machines if their effective lengths are different.
Step 1: Confirm rib count.
Step 2: Confirm PJ profile.
Step 3: Confirm effective length.
Step 4: Verify equipment and pulley compatibility.
| Belt Section | Transmission Function |
|---|---|
| Tensile Member | Carries belt tension and helps control dimensional elongation. |
| Rubber Body | Provides flexibility and protects the internal tensile reinforcement. |
| PJ Rib Section | Engages with corresponding pulley grooves to transfer rotational force. |
| Belt Back | Protects the internal structure and forms the reverse surface of the belt. |
| Parameter | PJ | PK |
|---|---|---|
| Reference Pitch | 2.34 mm | 3.56 mm |
| Approx. Height | 4 mm | 6 mm |
| General Character | Fine pitch and compact | Larger pitch and cross section |
PJ and PK belts require different pulley groove geometry and should not be treated as interchangeable even when the rib count is the same.
For machinery manufacturers, spare-parts suppliers and belt distributors, 2PJ–5PJ specifications can be reviewed as part of a mixed model order. Buyers can organize requirements by rib number and complete belt length.

Both use the same PJ profile. The difference is the number of longitudinal ribs: 2PJ has two ribs, while 5PJ has five.
No. 4PJ only identifies four ribs using the PJ profile. The effective length must be specified separately.
Rib-count requirements should be confirmed before ordering and production. Finished belt dimensions and quality requirements should match the intended pulley rather than relying on field modification.
No. Low-rib-count PJ belts may be used in various compact mechanical systems, household appliances, office equipment, small fans, pumps and other matched drives.
Mixed models can be reviewed according to the complete specification list, quantities, marking and packaging requirements.
Send your rib count, effective length, application and quantity so each compact PJ belt specification can be checked before quotation.
