This automotive raw edge cogged V belt is designed for engine accessory and mechanical transmission systems requiring flexible running and reliable V-groove engagement. Molded cogs on the inner side reduce bending resistance, helping the belt operate smoothly around relatively small pulleys while the V-shaped sidewalls transmit power through frictional contact.

Unlike a synchronous timing belt, the cogs on a cogged V belt are primarily designed to improve flexibility and heat dissipation rather than engage toothed pulleys for positive timing.     Flexible Raw Edge Cogged V Belt for Automotive Drives

    The SINOCONVE automotive raw edge cogged V belt is designed for fan, alternator, pump, compressor and other accessory drive systems where a conventional V-groove transmission requires improved flexibility.

    Molded cogs are formed on the inner side of the belt to reduce bending resistance. This allows the belt to wrap more easily around smaller pulleys while the raw V-shaped sidewalls maintain frictional contact with the pulley grooves to transfer power.

    Cogged V Belt Is Not a Timing Belt

    The grooves or “cogs” visible on the inside of this belt can make it look similar to a toothed timing belt, but the two products use different transmission principles.

    How to Select the Correct Cogged V Belt
